 It all ended when Kristen Stewart, who played Bella Swan in The Twilight Saga, was caught cheating on Robert Pattinson with her Snow White and The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s marriage has been one of the most talked-about relationships in recent years. The two first met in 2008, but their romance didn’t begin until 2012 when they reconnected after West flew out to Los Angeles to attend one of Kris Jenner’s parties.

They married in 2014 and had four children before their breakup was announced in early 2021.

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s divorce was one of the most shocking splits in Hollywood. The pair had been married for 10 years and were parents to three children together – Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. 

Ben has said that his divorce from Jennifer prompted him to get sober from alcohol addiction. Affleck reunited with and married his ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez in 2022.

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were a Disney Channel favorite for years. The two stars met on the set of High School Musical, in which they played love interests Troy and Gabriella.

It was a match made in heaven, or at least it seemed that way. In late 2010, Efron and Hudgens broke up after dating for five years.

The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone were one of Hollywood’s cutest couples. The two actors dated for four years before breaking up in 2015, but their breakup came as a surprise to many fans because they seemed so happy together.

The split was reportedly mutual and amicable, but we’re still holding out hope that maybe one day these two will reunite.

As far as what went wrong in their marriage, Pratt said it was simply about timing – their careers were taking off in different directions and it felt like there was no room for compromise anymore.

Miley and Liam met on the set of the Nicholas Sparks movie, The Last Song, in 2009. They started dating soon after filming wrapped up, and it was very much a love story for the ages. 

The couple got engaged in 2012 and married in December 2018 at their home in Malibu. In August 2019, it was officially confirmed that they were no longer together.

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan were the ultimate #RelationshipGoals couple. Together since 2006, this duo was the definition of an on-screen and off-screen romance. 

From their first big break in Step Up to their 2009 wedding, Tatum and Dewan have been one of Hollywood’s most loved couples. When news broke about their split in April 2018, fans were devastated.

Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe were one of Hollywood’s most beautiful couples. And though their marriage didn’t last, it was clear from the start that they had a lot of love for each other.

It’s rumoured that their split was due to Cruise’s ties to Scientology – which Holmes didn’t want their daughter involved in.

The Modern Family actress and the True Blood actor, who wed in November 2015, shocked the world when they released a joint statement in July 2023 announcing their divorce. 

The pair said: “After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We plan to continue our professional lives as usual, while privately making future plans for ourselves.” The couple share two children.

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner were together for seven years when they broke up in 2023. They started dating in 2016, got married in 2019, and share two children. 

But unfortunately, they announced their breakup in September 2023. Sources claimed that they had been unhappy for a while. Post-breakup PR since got messy, with both trying to shift the blame to the other.

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux

The world was shocked when news broke in February 2018 that Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux were separating after more than two years of marriage. 

The former couple, who met in 2011 on the set of the film Wanderlust, got married in 2015. In a statement via The Associated Press, Theroux’s publicist revealed that the decision to separate “was mutual and lovingly made at the end of [2017].”

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have had a tumultuous relationship since they first started dating in 2010. They dated on and off until 2014; then they briefly reunited in 2017 and split for good at the beginning of 2018. 

Bieber is now married to Hailey Baldwin, although die-hard fans still refuse to let Jelena die.

When Khloé Kardashian met NBA player Lamar Odom, it was love at first sight. The couple tied the knot in 2009, but things soon started to crumble between them. 

Kardashian filed for divorce from Odom in December 2013 after he was caught cheating on her in New York City. Their divorce was finalized in December 2016.

Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson

Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson’s relationship was the subject of a lot of speculation from the beginning when the couple announced their engagement after just a few weeks of dating. 

The duo moved quickly to plan their wedding, only to end things shortly after Grande’s former boyfriend Mac Miller passed away in October 2018.

Model Miranda Kerr is back in the spotlight thanks to her relationship with Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel, but not everyone remembers that she was once married to actor Orlando Bloom.

Carey gave birth to twins, Moroccan and Monroe Cannon, in April 2011. The couple separated in 2014, and their divorce was finalized two years later.

Heidi Klum and Seal were married for seven years. Their union came to an end in 2012, but before that, the two took some pretty memorable Halloween couple costumes.

In 2004, Klum met Seal through mutual friends. At the time, she was pregnant with daughter Leni, whose father is Italian businessman Flavio Briatore. They married in 2005 and had three more children, Henry, Johan and Lou.

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik

When the singer and the supermodel started dating in August 2016, they became one of Hollywood’s most stylish couples. The couple broke up in 2018 before reconciling at the end of 2019, and Gigi gave birth to their daughter in September 2020. 

They split again at the end of 2021 after Malik reportedly had an altercation with Gigi’s mother Yolanda Hadid.

Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling

It’s pretty hard not to be charmed by Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling together. Their on-screen chemistry was undeniable in The Notebook, and this was before we knew about the real-life romance that ignited between them following the film’s release.

The couple dated for a few years until parting ways amicably in 2007. Gosling blamed the demands of Hollywood for their breakup.

The union between Amy Poehler and Will Arnett seemed like a match made in comedy heaven. After nine years of marriage, the two finally decided to go their separate ways in 2012.

When it comes to relationships, celebrity exes Courteney Cox and David Arquette are more than just friends – they’re also co-stars. The former couple wed in 1999 after meeting on the set of Scream in 1996 and amicably called it quits after 11 years together.

Thankfully, they remained friendly throughout the divorce proceedings. The exes have since gone on to star in multiple Scream sequels together.

Both Hudgens and Butler were very private about their relationship so when news broke out that they split in January 2020, fans were both shocked and heartbroken.

Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith first met in 1989 and were already married when they starred together in the 1995 romantic comedy Two Much. After admitting their relationship had problems, Griffith filed for divorce in 2014 after 18 years of marriage. 

The couple have one daughter together and are still on good terms – with Banderas calling Griffith his “best friend” in 2019.

Despite the ten-year age gap between Madonna and Guy Ritchie, the former couple seemed like the quintessential picture of a happily married couple in their early years.

Given the pitfalls of dating a co-star, the cast of Gossip Girl were warned off of dating each other. Leads Blake Lively and Penn Badgely paid no heed though and secretly hooked up.

The couple lasted for three years, but fans prayed for a similar reconciliation to their on-screen counterparts Serena and Dan. Now though, it’s hard to imagine Lively with anyone other than husband Ryan Reynolds.

Supermodel Gisele and NFL star Tom Brady met on a blind date. The two hit it off and were inseparable for sixteen years.

The power players were seen as couple goals and left people disillusioned when they announced the amicable dissolution of their marriage.

Jeremy Allen White and Addison Timlin

In his 2023 Golden Globe acceptance speech, The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White told wife Addison Timlin that, “I love you deep in my bones.” It was a sweet moment, but unfortunately one not meant to last.

Their break-up is still a sore point and scenes of Schwarzenegger discussing his ill treatment of Shriver in the Netflix documentary Arnold brought a tear to everyone’s eye.

Their Instagram feed displayed the perfect family life, making them the envy of their followers. Then, in 2022, they announced their divorce, leaving everyone feeling rather sad.

Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton were the golden couple of the Goth community. Then, after thirteen years together, they announced they were divorcing.

Given the pair had lived in separate adjoining houses for a number of years, their split wasn’t a huge shock. It did, however, leave fans questioning whether they would collaborate on movies together again. So far, they haven't.

No Doubt’s Gwen Stefani and Bush front-man, Gavin Rossdale, once ruled the world of rock as King and Queen. Then, after thirteen years of marriage, they announced their separation.

Their once fairy-tale dynamic came undone after Rossdale allegedly had an affair with the couple’s nanny. The split was understandable, but fans lamented the loss of the cool couple.

Emma Roberts and Garrett Hedlund

After her high-profile relationship with Evan Peters, Emma Roberts tried to keep her next partnership with Garrett Hedlund more private. Nothing in Hollywood stays secret forever though and the pair were eventually rumbled.

The two began dating in 2019, had a baby together in 2020, but broke-up in early 2022 after months of struggling. Roberts and Hedlund remain amicable as they co-parent their child.

Fans still aren’t over the split of Rihanna and Chris Brown. Not because of the break-up, but rather the circumstances surrounding it.

Two years into the relationship things came to a bitter end when Brown was arrested for domestic abuse. Brown pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to five years probation.

The public were outraged by the 21 year age gap and ensured the couple knew it. Given the heat, it took the couple a number of months to announce that they had broken up.

During American Idol, Paul MacDonald attended the premiere of Red Riding Hood. Footage of the event played during the show, capturing his meeting with Twilight star Nikki Reed and their chemistry was instantaneous.

The pair married after just 7 months. During their marriage they released an album together chronicling their love. Sadly, after three years they split, but are currently both happily married to other people.

Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles caused waves when they got together. Most cited the age-gap as a concern, the reality though was Styles fans were bereft he was dating anybody.

Despite initial backlash, Wilde was at least the devil that fans knew and so when the pair broke up after two years together, further upset was felt.

Michelle Williams and Heath Ledger began dating whilst on set of the 2005 movie, Brokeback Mountain. Williams sustained an injury and Ledger helped nurse her back to health.

They dated for three years and had a daughter together. However, it is alleged that Ledger’s substance problems drove the couple apart and months later the actor tragically died.
