She was wrong. Sneaked is a word. And O’Brien took great delight in reminding her. Garner, meanwhile, looked like she’d swallowed a wasp. This is justified.

Justin Timberlake provided many millennials with a soundtrack to their childhood and adolescence, and that’s commendable. But yeah… he is pretty annoying.
There’s nothing you can really put your finger on when it comes to why, he just is. Maybe it’s the squeaky voice.

Taylor Lautner is quite inoffensive. He doesn’t get involved in beef. He stays away from drama both petty and political. This hate is purely a hangover from the Twilight days.

Is Nicole Kidman annoying? According to IMDb, she’s the 46th most annoying celebrity in the world. You can’t exactly cite her nationality, for example, because everybody likes Australians.
Maybe it was her marriage to Tom Cruise (also on this list) that rubbed people up the wrong way?

Nepo baby. Annoying music. Career and money handed to her on a plate. Willow Smith’s only saving grace is that she isn’t Jaden Smith.
Is anyone rooting for any member of this family, especially since last year? We highly, highly doubt it.

Wow. Sad but unsurprising. Owen Wilson has infamously gone through some major personal problems, and in recent years has shown that he has the acting chops to do more serious roles.
Still, it’s hard for people to forget those early movies in which he was very much Owen Wilson being Owen Wilson. Give him a chance, guys. He means well.

It’s like, pick a name and stick with it, you know? Sean “Diddy” (for now) Combs is hated by some for posing as something he’s not, which is a hardened gangster.
At the time same time, he’s also suspected to have been involved in the murder of Tupac Shakur. This is a hard call. Let’s just agree that his face is annoying.

It’s hard to conceive of a world in which people hate Jennifer Aniston but they do, to an extent. Why exactly is anyone’s guess.
There was an endless, and crucially bad, string of romantic comedies after the end of Friends that definitely irritated the masses. She also voluntarily dated annoying person Vince Vaughn.

All of the Baldwin brothers are unlikeable. Loud and erratic, you never seek out a Baldwin story. They always find a way into your life, no matter what precautions you take.
You get this the most with Alec, who spends all his time fighting cameramen or going off on tangents - and that's before we even touch on the notorious Rust situation.

Chrissy Teigen is one of Hollywood Twitter’s most right-on voices. Imagine everyone’s shock then, that back in the day, her social media feeds were full of homophobic and transphobic comments.

Rehashing a bunch of rock star tropes that were done 50 years before as if they’re brand new and shocking? Annoying as hell.
If Harry Styles’ entire public persona wasn’t governed by a team of stylists and PR, he might be something worth shouting about, but so far he hasn’t done anything to shake the manufactured-pop allegations.

The theory goes that he lies about his sexuality in order to progress in the music industry and get opportunities he wouldn’t have gotten as another straight rapper. This is all hearsay, obviously.

What a bizarre and thoroughly annoying rollercoaster Russell Brand's career his been, from stand-up comedian and TV host to movie star to would-be political radical, before winding up pushing anti-science conspiracy theories on his now-deleted YouTube channel.
Things took an even darker turn in 2023 when Brand was accused by multiple women of abuse, confirming what many had suspected the man of for years.
Selena Gomez
We know at least one person who (probably) hates Selena Gomez and that’s her old friend Francia Raisa, who donated a kidney to the actor and singer after her Lupus diagnosis in 2015.
The two fell out in 2018 after Raisa took umbrage with Gomez’s “unhealthy lifestyle,” fearing that she'd parted with a vital organ only for it to be squandered by its new owner.

John Mayer is too randy to be cool or accepted by the general public. Rock stars have to be randy, but it can’t take precedence like it does with this blues singer.
Culturally, Mayer has fallen off over the last decade. The last thing anyone probably knew him for was his relationship with Jennifer Aniston.

We’re not too sure why Andrew Garfield is hated. An educated guess would say Marvel fans gatekept Spider-Man after the successful Tobey Maguire years and weren’t happy seeing some posh British guy filling his boots.
The subsequent success of Tom Holland in the role has only made matters worse for ol’ Drew, although many were happy to see him briefly return in 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Tyler Perry
Tyler Perry probably has a really nice house, but it’s come at a cost and that cost alienates many fans with the same movies over and over again.
Perry is simply redundant, creatively. He relies heavily on cliches and tropes that have been done way better by his contemporaries. Dressing up like a woman for a female role? Just hire a woman, bro.

Shock: a liberal actor is widely hated. The thing with Sean Penn though is that he isn’t any old knee-jerk Hollywood liberal. He’s pretty far-left and seems to actually care about the causes he supports.
He is quite boorish, however, and that Madonna/baseball bat rumour didn’t help his public image.
Adam Sandler
Insanely popular, insanely divisive. Adam Sandler may have milked his fame by the early 2000s, releasing box office bomb after box office bomb, until defeating the final boss with Jack and Jill.
Luckily, the Safdie brothers decided to cast him in their brilliant 2019 flick Uncut Gems, which salvaged his reputation somewhat. Then he made Hubie Halloween.
Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie may have cleaned up her act but when she burst onto the scene in 1999 with Girl, Interrupted she was very, very out there.
First, there was that awkward on-the-mouth kiss with her brother James Haven at the Oscars. Then there was the PDA session with Billy Bob Thornton. Pinching Brad Pitt from much-loved Jen An was also a PR disaster.
Zac Efron
Zac Efron made a huge name for himself with the High School Musical trilogy in the 2000s. Unfortunately, he also made a huge name for himself among spiteful trolls.
Ugly dudes really, really don’t like seeing an attractive dude become a millionaire actor. Who knew? You can currently find him on Netflix promoting pseudo-science.

There was always something off about James Franco. At the height of his fame, tales abounded of him being this ultra-intellectual renaissance man who read Proust while shooting stoner comedies.

Katherine Heigl is not a team player by the looks of things. In 2008, she said she didn’t want another Emmy nomination for her role in Grey’s Anatomy because the writing on the show was so bad.
Heigl went off to try make it in the movies only to fail (aside from comedy Knocked Up, which she then proceeded to badmouth). Soon enough she came crawling back to, you guessed it, Grey’s Anatomy!

Some feel that Pauly Shore - briefly a superstar via such movies as Encino Man - was given a lot of the opportunities he didn’t deserve just because he was hot among idiots.
